"Getting Your Fiber," Translation and Publication

My hardwon article on understanding woodgrain, growth rings, subsequent milling directions, etc., was published twice in Woodwork magazine; first in Aug. 2004, and again in their final, Best Of, issue (after 20 plus years) Winter, 2011.  I am now and finally thinking of translating it into Japanese, for possible publication in Japan.

If anyone has good advice on translation, and possible wood, or woodworking, related publications in Japan, I'd appreciate it!

This is meaningful to publish in Japan because the article came about from watching and learning from Japanese craftsmen; while also adding my own insights and experience while working in Japan.   I hope it can be appreciated for these reasons, as well as the information it offers.

   Thanks much,  Russell

First of all I want to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question that I'd like to ask if you don't mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind prior to writing. I have had trouble clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there. I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Thank you!
